Can Cupping Therapy really cure?

A devout Muslim will always pray to Allah s.w.t. to refrain him from getting sick. As a human, there is no way that we will remain healthy as time goes by. The food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath, the environment that we are living in, somehow will influence our health. All toxin ans waste in our body will be flushed by a system that Allah s.w.t. has created. Subhanallah. Anyhow, most of the times, our body are unable to get rid of all of the toxins. Air will get trapped in our body. Some bad blood were unable to be flushed out because it becomes clotted by the coagulation process. When this happened the only sensible way is to undergo surgery to remove the clot or some easy way is to take aspirin (pardon me of my limited medicine knowledge).

Cupping therapy is one of the better and very cheap methodology to remove blot clot from the body. Cupping therapy can help remove blood clotting or some would term as dead blood cells if done properly and hygienically. After such cupping therapy, it is advisable or I would rather say that the subject to remain active as opposed to just rest or going to sleep.

As a cupping therapist, I use a cupping pen and needle lancet to puncture the skin where the cupping points is to be done accordingly. Prior to that, the area of which to let the blood out through the cupping cups will be sterilized. The depth is about 2mm. Using this methodology is more forgiving as it minimized the risk of cutting the patient’s skin if we have not mastered the skill of using a blade. It is also important that the cupping therapist must ensure all apparatus are kept clean and sterilized before each cupping session.

The duration depends on each therapist. I prefer a 2-3 minutes repetition rather than leaving it for a longer duration. But this depends very much on the skin conditions of the patient.

After the session, the area cupped will  be sterilized and the patient will be given a glass of water. A dua will be recited to ask forgiveness from Allah s.w.t. and plea that any sickness or discomfort the patient has will be relieved from him.

May we meet again sooner or later. Jazakallahu Khairan for taking your time reading this.

Salam.
