Can Cupping Therapy really cure?

A devout Muslim will always pray to Allah s.w.t. to refrain him from getting sick. As a human, there is no way that we will remain healthy as time goes by. The food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath, the environment that we are living in, somehow will influence our health. All toxin ans waste in our body will be flushed by a system that Allah s.w.t. has created. Subhanallah. Anyhow, most of the times, our body are unable to get rid of all of the toxins. Air will get trapped in our body. Some bad blood were unable to be flushed out because it becomes clotted by the coagulation process. When this happened the only sensible way is to undergo surgery to remove the clot or some easy way is to take aspirin (pardon me of my limited medicine knowledge).

Cupping therapy is one of the better and very cheap methodology to remove blot clot from the body. Cupping therapy can help remove blood clotting or some would term as dead blood cells if done properly and hygienically. After such cupping therapy, it is advisable or I would rather say that the subject to remain active as opposed to just rest or going to sleep.

As a cupping therapist, I use a cupping pen and needle lancet to puncture the skin where the cupping points is to be done accordingly. Prior to that, the area of which to let the blood out through the cupping cups will be sterilized. The depth is about 2mm. Using this methodology is more forgiving as it minimized the risk of cutting the patient’s skin if we have not mastered the skill of using a blade. It is also important that the cupping therapist must ensure all apparatus are kept clean and sterilized before each cupping session.

The duration depends on each therapist. I prefer a 2-3 minutes repetition rather than leaving it for a longer duration. But this depends very much on the skin conditions of the patient.

After the session, the area cupped will  be sterilized and the patient will be given a glass of water. A dua will be recited to ask forgiveness from Allah s.w.t. and plea that any sickness or discomfort the patient has will be relieved from him.

May we meet again sooner or later. Jazakallahu Khairan for taking your time reading this.

Salam.

  2. hello~
i just had a quick question.
I went to go see someone.. not certified but he says hes doing this as a hobby. Seemed like he knew what he was doing, but there was a problem I found out. My mom, brother and I had to get this done because we were all having back problems. I went first and then saw him do it on my brother after me, and didn't sterilize ANYTHING! Not the cup nor the pen needle he was using. After that I see him puncturing my mom, AGAIN not sterilizing. All he did was wash the blood away with tissue. I asked him aren't you suppose to sterilize this? It has blood! He said no, because the blood is coming out and the the cells that are in the blood is dead already it doesn't matter. I mean he told me he does this everyday to his wife and himself and others, which means he never sanitized this. Is this a bad sign? Can we get diseases from this? Seems like we can, I mean it is common sense right? Please tell me what you think about this. I tried searching it on google and can't find answers. Thank You

  3. Sorry for taking too long to reply. I was not online for so very long. The saying goes, Prevention is better than cure. I am of the opinion that all blood letting hijama must observe cleanliness during their procedure. The normal practice is that, if the practitioner is going to do blood letting hijama, he/she must sterilize his needles as well as the cups and that procedure should be observed when repeated cupping on the same spot is exercised. I would not wish to opine on the practitioner whom you meet but it is your prerogative to ask him/her to sterilize his tools. It is ok to wipe the blood on the skin with a tissue paper but if he is to repeat the procedure on the same spot it would be best for him to wipe that area with a sterilizing swab. And when all procedures were completed he must also make sure that all cupped areas were cleaned so that no trace of blood could be seen. It is best that you seek a certified hijama therapist in your subsequent treatment unless you are comfortable with your current therapist. Feel free to ask any questions if you have any. Perhaps you could also send them to my email at rozmei62@gmail.com. God Bless and Thank you.
